Fortunately, he has won 32 trophies in his career, including five English premier league titles, two La Liga titles, five Uefa Champions League, and the Uefa European championship.

Ronaldo is still the leading player with the record for the most appearances of 183, scoring 140 goals with 42 assists in the history of the Champions League standings. He’s one of the professional players who have made over 1,100 career appearances and scored over 800 goals since starting his official senior career for club and country.

He played for Portugal’s senior team at 18, and since then, he has earned over 150 caps, making him Portugal’s most capped player. He scored many goals in his career, with his first international goal being Euro 2004, where he helped Portugal get to the tournament’s final.

He has played for several clubs since he began his football career. He started playing his senior career with Sporting CP before joining Manchester United in 2003 at his teenage level, where he won the FA cup in his first season.

He also played for Real Madrid, winning most of his career trophies. After many years in Madrid, he also joined the Italian club Juventus.

Ronaldo is also a billionaire businessman; he recently became the first footballer and sports person after Tiger Woods and Floyd Mayweather Jnr to hit the $1bn mark in earnings. The 37 years old keeps breaking records upon records, and he doesn’t seem like he is stopping anytime soon.

He is currently a Manchester United player since he moved back to his old club in the last transfer window in August 2021 on an initial deal of two years. And it seems he might leave Manchester United this summer and find a Club to retire with, but his contract will end next year. Below are some of the leagues he might retire as a professional footballer.

Liga Portugal is also known as the Primeira Liga, one of the top leagues in Portugal’s football history. Unlike the English premier league and La Liga, it consists of 18 teams contesting for the title race since the 2014- 2015 season. The three lowest teams with the lowest points were relegated to Liga Portugal 2 and replaced with the top three in the relegation zone.

Cristiano Ronaldo will likely retire in the Liga Portugal league since it’s in his home country. Going back to Portugal would be easy for him, and it means he will join Sporting CP, where he was scouted and signed for Manchester United as a youngster.

The English Premier League is another option for Cristiano Ronaldo to retire as a professional footballer. EPL is one of the most watched leagues in the world, and Ronaldo is currently playing for Manchester United.

After his second arrival at the club, Ronaldo might decide to retire from the league. He first joined Manchester United in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon. Ronaldo was the first player from his country to win the Ballon D’Or award since Luis Figo in 2000. He won the award when he was at Manchester United.

Ronaldo played for Manchester United for six years, from 2003 to 2009. He scored 118 goals in 292 matches played. However, he returned to the league last year and might stay until retirement.

Saudi Professional League is one of the top leagues in Saudi Arabia and is governed by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF), established in 1956. It consists of 16 clubs which are usually played from August to May, where each club plays the other clubs two times to make it 30 games in a season.

The league is also where most older players play whenever they are old and approaching their retirement stage. Hence, as for Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi Professional League is also where he can retire professionally as a footballer.

Major League Soccer is also another league where Cristiano Ronaldo can end his illustrious career. MLS is an American professional football league with the highest soccer competition on that continent. The league was established in 1996 and was part of a successful bid by the United States to host the 1994 World cup.

Lastly, CFA is another top professional league where Cristiano Ronaldo can retire since he said he would keep playing football until he decided to stop, regardless of age. CFA is a Chinese Super League and the highest professional football tier in China. Initially, it consisted of 12 teams, but it increased with 18 teams competing in the 2022 season.
